<![endif]-->Consideraciones en la Reconstrucción con las mujeres y hombres y su sociedad en Haití.<br><br>Las mujeres y
hombres de Haití, lo que más necesitan hacer ahora, en este momento de crisis, además
de sanar sus heridas físicas y materiales, es empezar a reconstruir sus redes sociales
internas de comunidad, quebradas y mantenidas rotas por abusivos y corruptas formas de gobernar, internas y externas, durante demasiadas décadas.<br><br>Lo que más necesitan
las mujeres y hombres haitianos es que toda la población joven y adulta sea
incluida en todas y cada una de las nuevas actividades de recuperación, en los
albergues, en la dotación de la ayuda internacional, no pueden ni deben
tratarse sólo asistencialmente. Su experiencia y el conocimiento de su territorio y su gente, es importante, y deben ser integrados en las tareas y nuevas
estructuras socio-económicas de la reconstrucción, ellos y ellas tienen que
aprender y practicar nuevas relaciones y procesos democratizadores e
incluyentes, que no han vivido plenamente por muchas décadas y los ha mantenido en la violencia,
la pobreza y la dependencia.<br><br>La violencia
institucional y social, que ha vivido este país, sólo puede revertirse si se
integran a todas las mujeres y a los hombres en todas las actividades para
reestablecer la economía, para crear las nuevas escuelas, edificar los
hospitales, construir las calles e infraestructuras, deben poder tener acceso a
un empleo y capacitación al mismo tiempo, para levantarse como sociedad y como nación, ahora tan debilitada
y fragmentada.<br><br>Ninguna tarea
debe hacerse sin escuchar e integrar a toda la población damnificada sobreviviente, y con ellos digo
mujeres y hombres, es a ellas y ellos a quien debe otorgarse la posibilidad de integrase
a un empleo, aún antes que a cualquier fuerza proveniente de otro país, deben
ser integrados a la recuperación de la economía, a la cultura, a la ciencia, a
la salud, a la educación, a las prácticas de gobierno, y de ciudadanía.<br><br>Todas las
naciones del mundo estamos aportando recursos humanos, técnicos y financieros,
la coordinación de estos esfuerzos mundiales es fundamental, y no debe
acapararlos ninguna nación, puesto que Haití necesita de la ayuda de toda la
humanidad para poder reconstituirse como Nación, <b style="">Libre y Soberana,</b> y debe poder desarrollar sus propias capacidades,
talentos, crear y fortalecer su economía interna, sin que permanezcan o
mantengan una dependencia posterior de ningún tipo, de eso ya están cansados,
ya han tenido suficiente.<br><br>Las naciones que
los apoyamos para salir de esta situación de daño y muerte, tenemos el
compromiso con ellas y ellos para que durante todos los años de la
reconstrucción que tengan que emplearse, también sean años en que las y los
Haitianos se reconstruyan así mismos como sujetos de derechos civiles,
culturales, económicos, donde las mujeres tanto como los hombres vivan
relaciones de igualdad y de equidad.<br><br>La recuperación
y la reconstrucción implican reconstruir procesos de democracia directa e
incluyente, con educación y capacitación para que sea permanente, sin violencia entre los
géneros, sin violencia institucional, sin violencia de los hombres entre ellos

Después de que ocurre un desastre, el GDN enfrenta preguntas sobre<br>
principios y estrategias que permitan alcanzar equitativamente a mujeres
y hombres, niños y niñas. Nosotros respondemos con enlaces y enfatizamos la necesidad de asociarse cercana, inmediata, efectiva y equitativamente y a lo largo del tiempo con grupos locales de mujeres.<br>

Cada vez parece que comenzamos de cero. Mientras hacemos lo que podemos individualmente por nuestras hermanas y colegas en Port-au-Prince, podemos también actuar colectivamente como una red de alguna manera. *Trabajo en Haití/Trabajo con Mujeres:* Miembros de la Red Global de Género y Desastres están listos para asistir en lo posible durante estos difíciles días, meses y años que vienen después del terremoto del 12 de Enero en Haití. Miembros locales de la región pueden ser contactados a través de GDN.<br>

Numerosas guías prácticas sobre la respuesta y recuperación de desastres con enfoque de género están disponibles en la página web, incluyendo el extenso Libro sobre Género y Desastres. En el momento, recomendamos especialmente para el personal de primera respuesta, ayudadores, voluntarios y gerentes de desastres, las guías prácticas que aparecen en el documento adjunto. Una "lección" realmente aprendida en pasados desastres es "la
tiranía de lo urgente", en la cual preocupaciones sobre sexo y género no son reconocidas
o quedan fuera de la agenda. Sin embargo, como lo testifican residentes y organizaciones comunitarias y como lo documentan los investigadores, la atención y la recuperación sostenible de un desastre no puede ser alcanzada sin tener en consideración las dimensiones de género de los desastres.<br>

desastre se hagan con enfoque de género ahora y durante el periodo de apoyo y recuperación - la salud y seguridad de mujeres y niñas depende de esto*.<br>
En este mismo espíritu, la GDN estará llegando a grupos locales y regionales de mujeres y comunidades para ofrecer apoyo en lo que sea posible. Por favor usen la lista de recursos adjunta, pásenla y apoyen a grupos de mujeres en Haití y la región.<br>
