Re: Zaitoun. Very sorry! I stand corrected.... It is a true story, not fiction!
Jane Barry set me straight.  When I Googled Zaitoun, I got the Amazon listing which quoted the NY Times Book Review which somewhat obliquely referred to it as "narrative fiction"... so I drew the wrong conclusion.
