[Radix] Follow up & thanks on China disaster meeting

Terry: Thank you for your generous acknowledgement.

For some reason I'm unable to get into your presentation link but it 
seems to me you held your nerve and made a valuable statement.
I don't think it matters that it seems not to have had an effect, in 
fact, I think its too much to expect to see an effect. I hold to my 
view that what matters is to keep on confronting the issue. I'm sure 
you find many people who would rather not get involved at all with 
the subject of corruption and its role as a cause of vulnerability 
and destruction, and that's amongst professionals and academics. Its 
not an easy subject - because for academics evidence is hard to find, 
professionals might loose a contract and it causes discomfort and 
embarrassment for many people, but corruption thrives on silence - so 
the silence needs to be broken as often as possible. Therein lies the 
importance of a free media wherever it can be found - but presumably 
not in China.

Radixers where are you ? A debate has been called for.
