Just over 30 years ago, the University of Bradford in the UK hosted a Disaster Research Unit which published a series of "Occasional Papers".  With thanks to James Lewis http://datum.gn.apc.org , JC Gaillard http://jc.gaillard.monsite.orange.fr , and inter-library loan, all these Occasional Papers are now available electronically at http://www.ilankelman.org/bdru.html  Thank you also to James Lewis and Ken Westgate for providing their memories of the Unit--and to all those who were involved in the unit, producing some excellent material that is still pertinent today.
