Hello everyone,

I am trying to finalize my topic for my M.A. in Disaster Management, and am
very interested in work that seeks to integrate the current surge in
activity surrounding climate action with disaster risk reduction efforts.
More specifically, I am hoping to look at examining if its possible to
include disaster risk reduction mechanisms or incentives into the pending
cap and trade emissions market scheme within British Columbia, Canada.

However, I am struggling to find resources for background research that
integrate both the risk reduction and climate change communities of
practice; most either deal with one aspect or the other, or with the
Millennium Development Goals which are less significant in the North
American context I wish to examine. Any resources, contacts or information
that any of you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,
Leanne Ingham
