We are a group of individuals of Peruvian heritage with a willingness to share our knowledge and experience in how the use of the Internet can be used as a tool for empowering our communities. We aim to accomplish this is by motivating and training Latino populations on how the tools of the Internet can become a valuable asset for opening new roads of opportunities. In being able to globally share and exchange information, we hope to empower them to develop their own strategies for growth.

ECIE is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization whose general mission is to promote an open exchange of information and ideas through the use of the tools of Information Communication Technologies (ICT). The founding members of ECIE have been active since 1996 in the delivery of information to third world countries using on-line seminars and training sessions. Today, ECIE continues with collaborating with international agencies in providing internet seminars to the Latin-American business sector as well as promoting projects to motivate the Latino sector of the United States to use the Internet.

The founding members of ECIE have approximately 24 years of combined experience in working on the Internet in supporting and providing online international discussion forums. We are involved in various international projects which uses the Internet to leverage information and communication exchanges between peoples of diverse backgrounds and cultures. We use and promote the use of ICT in our work and projects and firmly believe that open communication is the answer to international discord.
